Initial Thoughts

I thought a couple talking about their swinging experiences was a great idea. My only hope was that it was real stories, real experiences and not just bullshit.

What You’re in For

The structure of this 40 minute podcast is great. It starts with John and Allie sharing news and introducing the topic of the show. Then it cuts to pre-taped audio of them going to a swinger’s club. They discuss different aspects of the club, what they heard about it or what they like about it if they’ve visited before. They bring up different issues like how they prepare for the night, how they’re going to handle the night, their feelings about the night. It can be rather personal and very interesting.

With a musical edit, the audio switches over to a quick end of the night summary in their hotel room. They’re usually both pretty tired at this point because it’s usually 2, 3 or 4am so they mention some of the highlights of the night and sign off.

With another smooth music edit, we’re back to John and Allie in the studio where they give listeners the blow by blow about what happened in the club…who they played with, how they got started, what they did, how good it felt and what they did afterwards. The stories are hot, hot, hot!

They’ll also answer listener questions. In fact they love listener questions. You can call in and leave them a message about anything swinger related. They discuss different sexual topics that apply to the swinger lifestyle like how they play with couples that have different swinging rules, jealousy, grooming and safe sex. They also interview other couples in the lifestyle.

What I Like

Currently, this is a mostly free podcast! Only episodes 6-11, of 27 at the time of writing, are $2.99 each to download. You can listen very easily on your computer or subscribe through iTunes and download it onto your iPod. You’ll find helpful instructions on how to listen to their show on their website.

John and Allie are extremely likable. From the first podcast I was in ‘listener’ love. You can tell that they love each other very much, feel very secure in their relationship and enjoy one another sexually. Allie has a very sexy voice that many of the listeners comment on and John sounds super sweet. They both have a good sense of humor, so all in all they’re an absolute joy to listen to.

I appreciate the fact that they have defined their rules so clearly. At the time of writing, they’re soft swap swingers, meaning they’ll do just about everything but have intercourse with other people. That’s something special that they save for each other. Also, they have decided to only swing at clubs. They don’t bring other couples home with them. They usually rent a hotel room near the club and stay there for the night. Occasionally they bring another couple back to their hotel room. They’ve decided on these rules and they stick to them when they’re out no matter what.

I appreciate their honesty about their experiences. They’ve been in the lifestyle for 5 years now, so it’s rare that they have a bad experience at a club. Even when something does happen, they do share their experience. Off hand I can remember one show where Allie was in a situation with another man and learned a new lesson, forming a new rule from that. I don’t want to tell the story; you should listen to the podcasts. So we’re getting real information from very experienced people.

They really try to get as much information and experience to the listeners as possible. In the beginning, they even tried to take their audio recorder into one of the clubs so the listeners can experience the sounds of the clubs. Unfortunately with all the activity that happens while playing, they lost track of the recorder and from what they’ve said, the audio didn’t come out well enough to use on the podcast anyway. I really appreciate the fact that they tried though. There are a couple of episodes that you get the audio of them with couples that went back to their hotel room. Those are really hot too.

Awesome Bit

They’re a couple discussing a sexual encounter and can safely, in each other’s presence express how much they enjoyed one or all of the people they played with. John can talk about how hot a certain technique or other woman got him and Allie is fine with it. Actually, it sounds like she’s turned on by it and same goes for Allie expressing how much she liked being with another man. There’s just no feeling of jealousy from either one of them.

Funny Bits

They say ‘hot’ a lot. Just listen to a few episodes, you’ll see.

Allie can be pretty funny in the segments at the hotel, after they play, because usually she’s pretty buzzed and not quite as articulate as she normally is. Again, funny, but I love it, it’s so real and honest.

Overall Thoughts

Swingercast is a great resource for any couple or person interested in the swinging lifestyle. As a listener, you get solid information from real experiences, good advice from seasoned swingers all wrapped up in a podcast that’s very entertaining too. My boyfriend and I usually listen to it together. I highly encourage you and your lover to listen together as well. It’s a great way to get the topic out in the open and get it discussed. My boyfriend and I aren’t swingers, but we have had many threesomes with women throughout the years. This podcast has allowed us to discuss the possibility and what our expectations would be if we ever did it. To me, anything that’s positive and helps a couple discuss something sexual is great since sex is usually difficult to discuss.

Actually the way they discuss their swinging nights, expressing the nitty gritty details of what they liked and didn’t like, is a wonderful example of how couples should discuss their sex lives with one another. I would think that if John and Allie are this expressive on their podcast, they’re probably this expressive in their private sex life as well…they probably wouldn’t be where they are today if they weren’t.

Even if you’re just curious and have no real desire to get into the lifestyle, this podcast is still entertaining and enlightening. I can’t recommend it enough, so get on over to Swingercast and start listening!
