It should come as no surprise that Ghostbusters is one of my favorite movies of all time. I was totally stoked when Hustler sent this to me for review, not just because it’s a parody of a movie I love, but also because it’s in 3-Freakin-D!
Hubby and I immediately commented that Hustler did a great job making this a combo pack. You get 2 discs. One disc has the Blu-ray 2D and Blu-Ray 3D versions, the second disc has a 2D and 3D version of the film on it. So no matter what kind of player(s) you have, you can watch this movie without buying extra discs. Plus you get 2 pairs of 3D glasses so when it arrives, you can immediately get to the watchin’.
Since this is a parody, I always enjoy seeing how the filmmakers take a well known movie and parody it. Do they stick to the original story or do they change it around a little bit? In this case, they pretty much stuck to the original story, but it’s highly edited, I’m guessing to make room for all the sex scenes. They still run after and kill ghosts and save the city, while having LOTS of sex in between. They kept the important plot points around and even got some comedy and big laughs from me at the end. The writing is funny and clever. They’ve managed to take a lot of discussions from the movie and make them sexual without being corny or stupid.
Evan Stone plays Bill Murray’s character, Dr. Peter Venkman, in This Ain’t Ghostbusters XXX. It’s the starring role and the role that holds the movie together. At first, I noticed that Evan Stone sounded more like Bill Murray in Caddyshack than in Ghostbusters, but as a credit to him, it made the parody of the character better in my opinion. He’s got strong acting skills. Not only did he get me hot during his sex scenes, but he had me laughing out loud during many of the non-sex scenes. I think he was very well cast for this very important role. Honestly, I don’t know what other male star could have pulled it off.
For the most part, the movie is well cast. James Deen does a great job as the awkward and private Spengler, while Alex Knight plays a great overexcited Stantz. Even Jeremy Conway playing the part of Lois Tully that lives down the hall from Dana Barrett plays a great creepy, sexual geek. Raven Alexis really looks like Dana Barrett and Sarah Shevon plays a great version of the Janine Melnitz character, she pretty much nailed the voice that is so well known from this character.
Hustler is touting some 3D action on this movie and they do deliver, mostly in the non-sex scenes and where the special effects are computer generated. So all the Sci-Fi stuff is really cool to watch with in 3D. During the sex scenes, it appeared to me that the stars were mostly 3D separated from the background, but the sex didn’t seem too 3D-ish. There were a couple of times when a cock looked kind of 3D-ish, but nothing as crazy as the other effects. As a note, I don’t have a Blu-Ray player so I just watched this on my flat screen with the 3D glasses, I can’t say if the Blu-Ray version is any better.
I can’t watch 3D movies in the theater, they make me nauseous. However, I was very surprised that watching the 3D with the glasses on our standard HD TV, I had no problems with feeling ill. I watched it twice since I’ve received it and was totally fine both times. However, even if you do feel nauseous, you can still experience the movie in 2D.
Yep, that green globby ghost makes his way into this movie. He’s the one ghost they try to bust and his appearance is a little different in this movie and I love it! Don’t want to spoil it too much, but I can say he’s a big boy.
Out of 5 sex scenes, 3 were hot. The first scene is with Evan Stone and Lily Labeau playing the role of the female student in the opening scene. They had some great chemistry, looked like they were really into each other, while both staying in character. They fuck all over Venkman’s creaky desk: missionary, doggie, side by side, it’s hot and best of all, it looked like Lily had an orgasm too. Between their great chemistry, the creaky desk and her real looking orgasm, this was a great opening scene that set the bar high.
The 4th sex scene with James Deen, Sarah Shevon and Jeremy Conway was hot too. We had a little Man, Lady, Man threesome action. In the real movie, you know there’s a lot of sexual tension between Janine and Spengler, but they don’t give in to it. You get that hotness here, plus the creepy, sexual nerd joins them. I think James Deen is a real hottie and it always looks like sex with him is hot. He’s always looks totally into the lady/ladies he’s with and this scene was no different. There’s also great chemistry in this scene. No matter where Jeremy and James positioned Sarah on the desk, she took it from all sides and even directed them with her dirty talk making the scene even hotter.
The last scene was a good one. This was the big defeat Gozer scene and this is where Tee Reel appears as Zeddmore, his entrance is quite funny. Anyway, he gets to have sex with the lovely Joslyn James on the rooftop. She needs big cock and although Tee Reel is no Lexington Steele, he still delivered. The hottest part for me was the all the genuine multiple orgasms it appeared she had. Showing the woman having a real orgasm or at least what appears to be real is totally hot for me because porn shouldn’t be just about the guys pleasure and orgasm. Women are hot when they have orgasms too, it should be shown more. So they had some seriously good chemistry, resulting in a hot scene.
It’s a shame really, I had high hopes for Raven Alexis’ scene with Evan Stone. It’s the part where Dana is overtaken by Zuul and Venkman goes to visit her. In this scene Dana’s more of a demon than human and I expected the sex to go in that direction. Maybe I shouldn’t have had any expectations, but I thought the sex was boring compared to what it could have been if they had someone like Nikki Hunter, Sadie West or even Tori Black that could have brought the acting over the top and add some filthy talk into the mix. Raven Alexis’ performance was standard, she yelled a lot, which felt really fake and said the same thing over and over again. She kept saying she was going to cum on Evan’s cock and Hubby and I really just wanted her to get it over with already. It was more annoying than exciting. It was that over the top reaction to being touched right from the start. The problem with that is, as the sex gets more intense, the moaning and heavy breathing can’t really change with the action because it was too much from the start and then it just sounds really fake and that’s not hot, ever. Raven looks amazingly like Dana Barrett, but I felt that this scene of sex wasn’t any hotter than Sigourney Weaver was as Zuul in the real movie.
The third sex scene with Alex Knight playing Stantz and Alexis Texas as the ghost in the library started out hot. They both seemed to be into each other, then halfway through, Alex leans Alexis over a desk to fuck her from behind and she starts playing with her eye and the chemistry was gone for the rest of the scene. She did have a lot of makeup on and maybe some of it was getting in her eye, but why did we still film and keep the footage if she seemed so uninterested. I understand that things happen and you have to fix them and come back and I’ve seen that in porns and the actors came back in and created chemistry again, it just didn’t come back and I lost interest.
Even though there were a couple of sex scenes that I really didn’t enjoy, I liked this parody, probably because I really like the movie. The writing is very clever and funny. Evan Stone shines as the star of this movie and his ability to act really keeps things together and flowing. I had many laugh out loud moments. I enjoyed the 3D special effects, it added something different and playful to the movie that made it really fun, while being really sexy. In fact, if you have 3D glasses from other movies, it’s a great movie to watch with a bunch of sexy people.
If you’re looking for hardcore raunchiness, this movie is not it. There’s only one Man, Lady, Man threesome, no anal, lots of oral and vaginal intercourse, even the dirty talk is kept at a minimum. However, if you’re not looking for the over-the-top hardcore, then this would be a great selection for you. However, I think those that have seen the real Ghostbusters movie would enjoy it the most.
